As the end of summer draws near, it’s time to take a little break and celebrate National Picnic Month. Here are some of the best places to have a picnic in Fair Lawn.
- Henderson Park. According to some Fair Lawn residents there is an “undiscovered” section of what is called Henderson Park. It is at the north end of 11th Street just before you reach Henderson Boulevard. It features a wide open grassy area with mature trees that feels like you’ve stepped out of the city. It doesn’t have any picnic tables, so you will have to bring a blanket. Watch this video to see where to find this unique spot.
- Grove Park. Just a little ways from Fair Lawn is Grove Park in Ridgewood. This small 32-acre park is a beautiful place to enjoy a picnic and take a walk through the woods.
- Memorial Park. Here in Fair Lawn, this wonderful park has something to offer for everyone. Take a walk along the Passaic River, take a dip in the sand-bottomed Memorial Pool, and catch a game of baseball. And, don’t forget to bring your picnic.
